One other thing...

One thing that I will always say is that using Technology is not Hard.

Yes, you may all roll your eyes, and say "oh, that's easy for you to say, you grew up in a time of technological change, and therefore can easily adapt."

However, the fact is that I know bugger-all about information technology design. I'm just good at using the end-product. I get excited about it, because I'm finding new ways of empowering myself with ways of accessing information, and using information to interact with others in creating a professional learning community online.

It's exciting, it's fun and IT'S EASY. You just need to go out there, read a few blogs to get a feel for the industry, and before you know it, you're trying out new things.

Also, and this may also be a shock to some, but I'm really not "up there" when it comes to emerging technology. I'm more of an "early adopter" rather than an "innovator". I only moved from Netvibes to Google Reader a month ago. I only started using Page2RSS a week ago! I started blogging about eight years ago, but only professionally as of yesterday. So if you heard about it from me, it's probably old news. That's why I'm often worried when I'm referred to as the "IT Savvy" member of the team. I'd consider myself to be adequately information literate, but that's the most that I'd give myself credit for. :)

Page2RSS is my latest lucky find in the whole of this week! It tracks changes in a web page (ie. job listings, news reports) and sends you an update whenever the page changes.
