I'm gonna live forever...

Apparently, I was on a certain national television show last night. I was completely unaware that it was on last night until my sister texted me from Perth, at which point it was too late. Then again, I'm one of those people who can't stand watching myself on a tv, so I probably would have left the room anyway.

The video is now up on the website.

With apologies to all the hipster guybrarians out there.

I'm still scared to watch. In this instance, I'm happy not to have closure, but just smile and nod when people say to me "Hey, I saw you on Idol last night!"

Update: Okay, finally watched it. They only actually showed the first two seconds of the audition, until Kyle tries to cut me off. Which, I guess, is good and bad - good because it meant not hearing the second song that I performed for the judges, which was kinda boring (not to mention me stopping halfway, going "Oh shit", and being told off by Marcia), but bad because it also cut the conversation that I had with Dicko in between songs, which was a lot of fun but was never going to make it onto national television. I'm sure it'll all be in the DVD extra features, along with my ten-minute interview with Andrew G. Or possibly not.

The producers saw fit to put you in a bracket of nerd auditionees. How insulting...

Yeah well - it could have been much worse.

The producers could have seen fit to put my in a bracket of bad singers. That would have been far more mortifying.

Congrat Andrew,

With that awesome, nationally televised effort, you took a big step in the fight to destroy old librarian stereotypes.

Many thanks from a fellow crusader.

Hey - am so pleased that you had the link as I missed it Sunday as our power was off. Great work Andrew.
